Augusta’s State house just settled on a vote to increase Maine’s Vaping Wholesale Tax to 43%. This bill was proposed as a way to curb teen vaping, however taxation in this circumstance proves more to be a prohibition.
Since the the bill LD 1028 has passed the house, it’s now up to Janet Mills to either sign the bill into action (which would take effect January 2nd 2020) or to veto the bill.
